Faith Retreats: Healing and Personal Growth with Plant Medicines

Do you find yourself repeatedly facing the same undesired situations without knowing why? Or you try to change but don’t know where to start, often falling into unsustainable life overhauls. Perhaps you find yourself, betraying your values repeatedly, or allowing others to do it for you. Perhaps you are nursing unresolved childhood emotional wounds that make you engage in addictive patterns, whether behavioural or substance-related? On the more severe end of the spectrum, you may have experienced repeated emotional, physical, or sexual abuse during childhood and struggle to move past the flashbacks, suppressed emotions, depression, and PTSD symptoms.

Whichever the reason you feel stuck for, Faith RetreatsTM might just be for you, consisting of a six-day, five-night retreat deep dive into yourself, including ancestral plant (and animal-based) medicine journeys with substances such as ayahuasca, kambo, 5-MeO DMT, and psilocybin.

At Faith Retreats™, we help individuals connect with their inner power, finding profound meaning and direction in life. However, it is important to note that any plant medicine can only do so much. There seems to be a popular notion going around these days that, by the mere act of partaking in plant medicine journeys, all the work is done for us, the truth will be revealed and we will be magically healed and set free.

This could not be further from the truth. Plant medicine journeys are where we open the door to a particular thread of inner work.

This is why our team of experienced counsellors and facilitators is ready to guide you toward self-understanding and personal growth, giving you several holistic tools and practices to bring back into your daily life to help you implement structured emotional change and a greater consciousness of maladaptive coping strategies that get in the way of how you want to live.

Ayahuasca, kambo, psilocybin, and 5-MeO-DMT, revered by indigenous populations for their spiritual and healing properties, are integral to our program. These ancestral medicines help uncover buried emotions, promote self-knowledge, and address trauma and psychological challenges.

In recent years, we have used these potent natural tools, combined with holistic therapies, to assist many individuals in overcoming mental health issues and understanding the roots of substance abuse.

Some of the plant medicines and holistic therapies available to our clients are:

Ayahuasca

Ayahuasca is a traditional Amazonian brew made from the Banisteriopsis caapi vine and Psychotria viridis leaves. This powerful concoction has been used for centuries by indigenous tribes for spiritual and healing purposes. When consumed, Ayahuasca induces altered states of consciousness, characterized by vivid visions and deep introspection. These experiences allow individuals to confront buried emotions, traumas, and psychological challenges. The therapeutic potential of Ayahuasca lies in its ability to facilitate profound emotional release and self-awareness, making it a valuable tool in the treatment of depression, PTSD, and addiction.

Kambo

Kambo, derived from the secretion of the Phyllomedusa bicolor frog in the Amazon rainforest, is traditionally used by indigenous tribes for hunting and medicine. Applied to small skin burns, it introduces bioactive peptides into the bloodstream, cleansing toxins and enhancing the immune system. Users often report renewal and clarity, with Kambo believed to address issues like chronic pain, fatigue, depression, and anxiety, making it a popular holistic treatment.

5-MeO-DMT

5-MeO-DMT, found in the venom of the Sonoran Desert toad, produces intense, mystical experiences when vaporized and inhaled, lasting 20-30 minutes. Many describe these life-changing experiences as leading to profound insights and spiritual awakening. Therapeutically, 5-MeO-DMT shows promise in treating trauma, depression, and anxiety by fostering a deep sense of interconnectedness and helping release emotional wounds for long-term healing.

Cold Exposure Therapy

Cold Exposure Therapy, following the Wim Hof Method, uses cold exposure (ice baths) and breath-work techniques, to improve our immune system, recalibrate the central nervous system and increase stress resilience.

Holotropic Breathwork

Holotropic Breathwork achieves altered states of consciousness without psychoactive substances, proving effective in trauma release and emotional processing.

Psilocybin

Psilocybin, found in “magic mushrooms,” has been used for millennia in spiritual practices to induce altered states of consciousness. Modern research highlights its potential in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance abuse by promoting neuroplasticity and breaking down rigid thought patterns. Therapeutic use of psilocybin, typically in a controlled setting, has shown promising results in facilitating deep psychological healing and improving well-being.
