Q 00:12 What was life like a few months ago?

I’m a heroin addict, so all I was doing, constantly every day, was thinking of ways to get money to get Heroin, and it was just a vicious circle of running, chasing drugs like, you know what I mean, yeah it’s horrible horrible existence, like our family goes out the window, your partner, you kids, like you have no time for anyone else, just that drug.

Q 00:45 How did you find out about Ibogaine?

A friend of mine, his cousin got it done, and I heard about it a couple of weeks ago, and it sounded like it was for me like, you know, so am I really wanted to come over and do it.

Q 01:08 What was your motivation to take ibogaine knowing you could not take the full flood dose because of health reasons?
My motivation, well…I was asked this question before I came, was, getting clean you know, and there, what way Ibogaine like when you’re going through a sickness of heroin it’s not nice like, it’s a horrible, thing to go through, but I done the Ibogaine and it was like that I had no sickness at all, like, no withdrawals from heroin came from the ibogaine treatment like, and I still, it’s only three days ago and I’m fine, I’m fine today like, you know.

Brilliant, brilliant. Everyone’s very friendly, the people are… yeah it’s a brilliant place to be. Beautiful as well, beautiful place, and yeah, there is nothing bad I could say about the place, as in the care you get here, the people and everything in it, you know.

Q 02:33 What does a typical heroin detox look like at home?

A typical heroin detox at home, you’ll probably be sweating an awful lot, agitated, full of anxiety, full of fear, emotional, and all sorts of stuff. You can’t sleep, you can’t eat, you’re getting sick. You have diarrhea, and that goes on for a good week before you start to sort of come around. It takes a good two weeks to start to feel alright myself, but after a week the diarrhea would go and stuff like that like, and you start eating a bit more.

From that experience to this experience, is unbelievable like. Like, I’m sitting here three days clean off drugs like, off opiates, and I have none of that, there is nothing wrong with me, I’m eating, I´m hungry…
I’m sound, it is so completely different.

Q 03:40 What are your chances of relapsing when you go home?

What are my chances of relapsing when I go home. I’d say at the moment leaving here it’s 80% that I’m not gonna relapse, and 20% that I am. But, I just don’t know, I’ve been through this situation a few times in the last few years, I think every time, a bit doubt gets put in our minds, you know, and am I gonna make it, I’m just hoping if I can just put one step in front of the other, and do what I have planned when I go home, that I’ll be alright.

Q 04:23 How do you feel about the future?

Yeah, I feel good about the future. I feel good. I just em, I have to hit the ground running that’s what i have to do like, you know, because drugs are so easy to get where I live, you know, and, I just have to hit the ground running and make sure that I do all the right things.

Q 04:48 What message do you have for people seeking to detox off opiates with Ibogaine?

I think, to do a detox with ibogaine, is the most pleasant way to do it, that’s all I can say like, you know, I’d say it’s, nothing like what I expected like you know I didn’t think that, like, it could be that true that you don’t go through any withdrawals like, you know what I mean,

because it just doesn’t happen but I suppose that is a way of doing it, you know what I mean, and yeah it’s the most pleasant way to do a detox if you are coming off heroin.
